A unique moment in time: the colours produced from hawthorn berries changes each year. The chemical composition of the berries is the direct result of that season's temperature and weather, similar idea to the terroir of a vineyard. This piece is from my September 2023 harvest. A snapshot of the conditions in that moment. This exact paint and colour profile will never exist in the same way ever again.

Limited edition by nature: many indigenous plants struggle to find a home in the face of a rapidly expanding urban landscape. When I find a plant, like this hawthorn bush, in an urban environment I want to do my best to help it thrive for future generations of food and plant lovers. As a result my harvests are a responsible, limited size. This means when the paint is gone, it's gone. There's no ordering a new tube online. The next batch will be in 12-months once they're back in season.

Please note colours may vary between devices and screens, and with settings such as Apple's True Tone. All sales final.
